First Blessings is built for families. This page tells you exactly what we do — and do not do — with your information. The short version: we collect nothing.

What we collect

Nothing. First Blessings does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on any server. The app has no backend.

What stays on your device

The following information is saved locally in your phone's storage. We never see it. It never leaves your device.

The child's name you entered during onboarding
Your light / dark mode preference
Your language preference (English or Spanish)
The list of words you have viewed (your "shown" cards)
The list of words you have starred as blessings, with timestamps
Your day streak and last-visit date
Whether you have unlocked the full app

If you delete the app, all of this data is deleted with it. If you uninstall and reinstall, you will start fresh.

What we do NOT do

No accounts. No login. No password. No sign-up.
No ads. Ever. The app is paid for by an optional one-time $4.99 purchase, not advertising.
No tracking. No analytics. No telemetry. No crash reports. No fingerprinting.
No third-party SDKs that track you or your child.
No data sharing with anyone, ever.

Network requests the app makes

The app is fully self-hosted once installed. On first install, the app caches everything (illustrations, fonts, code) so it runs offline. There are no ongoing requests that include any personal data.

Children's privacy

First Blessings is designed for parents of toddlers ages 1–4. We comply with the Google Play Designed for Families program and US COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). Because we collect nothing, no special consent is needed — there is nothing to consent to.

Payments

The optional $4.99 in-app purchase to unlock all categories is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment information. Google's privacy practices apply to that transaction.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy (we don't anticipate doing so), we will update the date at the top of this page and post the new version with the next app update. Significant changes will be flagged on first launch.

One thing worth saying plainly: the easiest privacy policy to write is the one for an app that doesn't collect anything. We chose that deliberately. Your child's first words belong to you and your family, not to us.
